Our world-wide ministry has a simple purpose: To help individuals find God's answers to life's most common and often troubling intellectual and spiritual questions- questions that ponder not only the 'whys' and 'what fors' in life, but questions that also seek the 'how to' answers that are real and relevant; and, in those answers we find that non-Christians embrace the truth of the Gospel, and believers are equipped to be instruments of transformation for those around them.
In this way MZM seeks to be a bridge between the culture of the moment and Christianity, showing how faith in Jesus Christ and the application of His teachings are the most benefitial for our personal lives and for the development of society. This is what is known in Christian circles as ‘Apologetics’ (the explanation and intelligent defense of the faith), ‘Evangelism’ (the invitation to follow and obey Jesus Christ in a personal way), and 'leadership training' (equipping of believers to effectively explain and apply their faith).
MZM operates as a non-profit Christian organization (501-c3), governed by a board of directors who determine the organization’s operational budget and ensure that it is handled with strict ethical parameters. Manuel Zarate has a small team that helps in the administrative, operative and financial areas from its headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama. Most of our work takes place via local churches and with the help of volunteers.
